1 critically injured in Queens shooting, suspect at large

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — One person is in critical condition after a shooting in Queens’ Corona neighborhood Saturday afternoon, according to police.

Two people were hit around 3 p.m. near the intersection of 41st Avenue and 104th Street, officials said.

One of the victims was shot four times in the chest, and the other was grazed in the right arm.

Emergency responders rushed both victims to Elmhurst Hospital.

The victim who was hit in the chest is in critical condition. The other is expected to survive.

The NYPD was not able to provide any information about what events led up to the shooting or a possible motive.

Police have not yet made any arrests, and an investigation is ongoing.
