Bronx food vendor slashed across arms, back, suspect sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a suspect accused of slashing a Bronx food vendor earlier this month, authorities said.

Just before 4 a.m. on Sunday, August 6, a 32-year-old food vendor at the intersection of Jerome Avenue and East Bedford Park Boulevard in Jerome Park when he was engaged in a verbal dispute with the suspect that became physical, officials said.


During the physical altercation, the suspect repeatedly slashed the victim in the arms and back, officials said.

The suspect was last seen fleeing northbound on Jerome Avenue in a dark-colored vehicle.

The victim was removed to Saint Barnabas Hospital by EMS in stable condition.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black hat, dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and black sneakers.
