NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating the shooting death of a man early Tuesday morning in Brooklyn.
On Tuesday, August 1, at approximately 3:37 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at 309 MacDougal St. in Brownsville.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS transported the victim to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is pending family notification.
