NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police on Friday arrested a man suspected of attempting to rape a woman walking down a Brooklyn street.

Oscar Vallejo, 28, allegedly followed and attacked a 21-year-old woman near the intersection of Broadway and Thomas Boyland Street in Ocean Hill.

The attacker rode up to the woman on a motorized scooter before grabbing her, telling her to be quiet and attempting to forcibly remove her skirt, officials said.

The woman fell to the ground when he tried to grab her, suffering cuts to her hands, but she was reportedly able to break loose and run away.

Vallejo was charged with attempted rape, unlawful imprisonment, assault and sexual abuse for the attack.
