NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two men were in custody Thursday after one of them hit two teens with his cane—and was then slashed by the second man—in an early morning brawl at an Upper East Side subway station.

It all started around 3:15 a.m. when a 50-year-old man got into some sort of dispute with two teens at the 77th Street station on the Lexington Avenue line.

The man bashed the teens with his cane during the argument, police said.

The teens retaliated against the man—and a second man came over and also joined the fray, according to police.

During the brawl, the second man slashed the 50-year-old, police said.

Both men were taken into custody, and the teens were both transported to an area hospital.

The severity of the slashed man's injuries wasn't immediately known.
