
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is investigating the stabbing death of a man in the Bronx on Wednesday, authorities said.
At approximately 11:40 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of an assault in front of 680 Tinton Ave. in Melrose, officials said.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 51-year-old Derrick Hamlin, unconscious and unresponsive with a stab wound to the neck .
EMS responded and transported the aided male to NYC & Health & Hospitals/Lincoln where he was later pronounced deceased.
There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
