NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police arrested a 24-year-old man in the 2021 shooting of a woman and teen girl inside of a Staten Island hair salon, authorities announced on Tuesday.
Eqwone Forbes was arrested on Monday in connection with the shooting at the Buosso African Hair Braiding at 63 Victory Blvd. in Tompkinsville at about 3:50 p.m. Aug. 25, 2021, officials said.
Forbes was charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of a firearm.
The 17-year-old girl was grazed in the head and the 35-year-old woman was shot twice in the buttocks in the shooting, cops said.
EMS transported both victims in stable condition to Richmond University Medical Center.
The investigation remains ongoing.
