NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A subway rider was punched in the face by a man who'd asked him "where he was going" at a Queens station, police said Wednesday as they released images of the suspect.

The 35-year-old victim was waiting for an E-line train at the Sutphin Boulevard–Archer Avenue–JFK Airport station in Jamaica on Saturday morning when he was approached by his attacker at 3 a.m.

"Where are you going?" the stranger asked before slugging him in the face unprovoked.

The victim boarded the next E train after the attack. He suffered pain to his face but declined further medical attention, police said.

The suspect remained on the platform and was still being sought Wednesday.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
