Doctor ID'd after found with throat slashed in Harlem park

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The 60-year-old Hudson Valley pediatrician found dead with a slashed throat in a Harlem park early Friday has been identified by police.

Bruce Maurice Henry, of the Bronx, was found unresponsive in Marcus Garvey Park, according to police, who said he also had multiple stab wounds.

EMS pronounced him dead at the scene shortly before 3 a.m.

Henry, who according to the Daily News works in Rockland County, has experience working in hospitals, including an emergency room in New Jersey, the New York Post previously reported.

The circumstances surrounding his death, which has been classified as a homicide, remain unknown as a police investigation continues.

No arrests have been reported.
