NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A 27-year-old man was sentenced to 18 months in prison on Monday after being found guilty for a 2020 rape and beating inside of his West Village apartment, authorities said.
In April, Davis Lange was found guilty of raping and beating a 23-year-old woman on Nov. 10, 2020.
Lange pinned the victim down on his bed and repeatedly slapped her across the face. As she struggled to free herself, her head slammed into a wall and then Lange raped her, according to Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg.
The assault happened inside Lange's apartment after he and his victim drank at a nearby bar.
Lange was found guilty on all charges in the indictment against him, including one count each of rape in the third degree, attempted sexual abuse in the third degree, attempted assault in the third degree and attempted forcible touching.
In addition to the 18-month sentence, Lange will have 3.5 years of post-release supervision, and he's been been ordered to register as a sex offender.
