Cops searching for man who robbed victim in Bronx bathroom with wooden stick

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who used a stick to rob a 52-year-old man in a Bronx public bathroom last month.

The man approached the victim in a public restroom near the intersection Bronx Boulevard and East 219th Street on March 24 around 10:05 a.m., according to officials.

The man threatened him with a wooden stick and demanded money. The victim handed over $15, and the man tried to steal the victim's cellphone unsuccessfully, authorities said.

The victim wasn’t injured during the incident, and the robber fled on foot.
