Man wanted for slashing NYPD tires in the Bronx

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man who slashed multiple tires on an NYPD vehicle in the Bronx on Wednesday afternoon.

Police released video Thursday of the suspected vandal in the tire-slashing at Kelly Street and Westchester Avenue in Longwood just after 12 p.m.

The man walked up to a parked, unmarked NYPD vehicle and punctured three tires with an unknown object before fleeing, police said.

Video shows the suspect wearing a Yankees hoodie and wandering in circles on a sidewalk around the time the tires were slashed.

The tire-slashing happened about five blocks from the 41st Precinct stationhouse.
