NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD released surveillance video Thursday of the man they’re searching for a day after a woman was stabbed repeatedly at a Brooklyn subway station.

The 60-year-old victim was attacked at the Pennsylvania Avenue station in East New York around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

The woman bumped into a man in his 20s at the station and quickly apologized to him, according to police.

But moments later, as she turned to see if a train was approaching the station, the man stabbed her repeatedly in the back, shoulder and arms, police said.

EMS transported the woman to an area hospital with multiple puncture wounds to her torso and a collapsed lung, according to police.

The man ran down to the street level after the attack and fled southbound on Pennsylvania Avenue, police said.

The stabbing was one of four subway assaults on Wednesday morning. A 21-year-old woman was punched in the face at the 75th Avenue Station in Forest Hills. There were also two unrelated attacks at the 42nd Street-Times Square subway station, where an on-duty MTA worker was punched in the face and a man was slashed across the face.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
