NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD released surveillance video Thursday of a man wanted in a slashing at a Times Square subway station on Wednesday.
The 35-year-old victim was slashed by a man on a 1/2/3 platform at the 42nd Street station shortly before 9 a.m., police said.
The assailant got into an argument with the victim before pulling out a scalpel and slashing him across the left side of his face, according to police.
The victim suffered a severe laceration and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition.
The attacker fled the station, police said.
The slashing was one of at least four subway attacks on Wednesday morning. An on-duty MTA worker was punched in the face at the same Times Square station where the man was slashed, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
