NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Long Island have released new photos of a belt that was recovered by law enforcement officials investigating the Gilgo Beach murders.
The Suffolk County Police Department released the photos on Monday.

Investigators “believe that [the belt] was handled by the suspect and did not belong to any of the victims,” Suffolk County Police Commissioner Geraldine Hart previously said.
The belt is embossed with letters that spell “HM” or “WH,” depending on the viewing angle, one of the photos shows.
In May, the police department and the FBI announced the identify of one of the Gilgo Beach murder victims: a woman named Valerie Mack, who went missing in 2000 at the age of 24.
Mack was one of 10 women whose remains were discovered along Ocean Parkway on Long Island in 2010 and 2011.
