NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A group of carjackers pulled a driver out of a cab on a Queens street and then drove away in the vehicle, police said Wednesday.

The NYPD released images of several men they're searching for in the March 27 robbery in Fresh Meadows.

Police said the group posed as customers to lure the 35-year-old driver to 183rd Street and 67th Avenue.

When the cabbie arrived to pick them up just after midnight, two of the men "forcibly removed him" from the vehicle, police said.

As he was being dragged to the ground, a third man allegedly grabbed a wallet from his pocket.

All of the suspects then hopped in the cab and took off, police said.

The vehicle was eventually found abandoned, though it's unclear when or where.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
