NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Two teen bystanders were shot and injured in broad daylight outside a Brooklyn subway station on Wednesday morning, police said as they search for a pair of young suspects.

Gunfire erupted around 9:30 a.m. at Eastern Parkway and Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights.

A girl and boy, both teens, were struck by bullets in front of a deli and just outside the Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College station.

A 16-year-old girl was struck in the right leg, while a 17-year-old boy was hit in the left arm, police said.

They were transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Their injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.

Neither of them is believed to have been the intended target, police said.

The NYPD is searching for two gunmen—one in a black hoodie and the other in a red hoodie—who fled the area on foot. They're believed to also be in their teens.
