
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a suspect who pepper-sprayed an employee during an attempted robbery at an Upper West Side Best Buy over the weekend, authorities said.
The robbery happened at approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, inside of a Best Buy located at 1880 Broadway near Central Park, officials said.

According to police, the suspect took a laptop and attempted to pass all points of sale and exit the store.
The suspect was then confronted by a 30-year-old store employee who recovered the laptop.
The individual discharged pepper spray into the store employee’s face before fleeing on foot.
The victim refused medical attention. No property was removed.
