NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A bystander was wounded in a shooting about a block away from the NYPD’s headquarters in lower Manhattan on Friday, police said.
The NYPD released surveillance video Saturday showing the shooting at Pearl Street and St. James Place in Two Bridges around 6:15 p.m. Friday.
Police said a gunman shot one round at someone during a dispute before fleeing the area on foot. Video shows the gunman firing towards a man at close range and apparently missing.
A 46-year-old man who was sitting on nearby steps at the Alfred E. Smith Houses heard the shot and felt pain to his left arm, according to police.
Police said the man, who they described as a bystander, went to Bellevue Hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound and released.
The shooting took place about a block away from 1 Police Plaza, which is the headquarters of the NYPD.
The gunman was still at large on Saturday.
