
SOMERSET COUNTY, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A man who police say is a serial rapist accused of a string of sexual assaults across New Jersey has been arrested, authorities announced.

The 38-year-old Mexican national, Rogelio Postrero, was found to have a bogus green card and social security card when was arrested for public lewdness on Aug. 4.
Reports of a man possibly exposing himself in the Nevius Street Bridge area of Raritan came in. A responding officer recognized Postero from sketches.
Prosecutors said DNA evidence linked him to at least three or four violent sexual assaults and police say there may be more incidents.
Among the known incidents are two sexual assaults at Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park in South Brunswick and Duke Island Park in Bridgewater Township. Another attack was on a woman who was running on a park trail in Franklin Township during which the victim was tackled to the ground. She was able to fight him off.
Postrero also had a bicycle in his apartment which matches the one the suspect was riding in several attacks.
Postrero now faces numerous charges in multiple counties including two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, lewdness, and knowingly exhibiting false documents in Somerset County with more charges pending from other municipalities.
