Bryce Elder made his MLB and Atlanta Braves debut last night and picked up his first career victory going 5.2 innings of 6-hit, 3-run ball in a surprised start that required him to be added to the 40-man roster earlier in the day.
While it would seem likely to be the case, after the game Braves Manager Brian Snitker didn't exactly commit to Elder appearing again next turn though the rotation.
While Elder did give up a pair of home runs, he provided the length and consistency required of being a key piece of the rotation, sitting down 11 straight Nationals hitters at one point.
Assuming the Braves stick to a 6-man rotation, the next turn for Elder would come against Freddie Freeman and the Los Angeles Dodgers in Dodger Stadium.
