PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – It’s the BIG plays from the Steelers 37-15 win over the Jets Sunday night. From Beanie Bishop picks to Russell Wilson getting going, the major moments as the Steelers improve to 5-2.

1st quarter

·     1st pass as a Steeler, Russell Wilson floats one to tight end Darnell Washington for 15 yards.
·     FG, Najee Harris’ second rush he bounced off a couple of tacklers for 18 yards to the Jets 33-yard line. Chris Boswell would hit a 46-yard field goal on a 7-play drive for a 3-0 lead 3:27 into the game
·     Jets WR Xavier Gipson muffs a punt, but it rolls out of bounds as New York avoids giving the Steelers the ball in their own red zone.
·     TD, First play after the muff, roughing penalty on Larry Ogunjobi followed by a couple of dump downs from Aaron Rodgers to Breece Hall totaling 31 yards. Jets were 1 for 1 on third down on the drive that ended with Breece Hall going 13 yards left side for a touchdown on an 82-yard drive, 7-3 Jets

2nd quarter

·     FG, after 3 consecutive 3-and-outs, Wilson threw one up to George Pickens on single coverage on the left side, Pickens able to come down with it for 32 yards. Wilson would later hit tight end Darnell Washington in the flat for 18 yards, but a 7-yard loss on a run by Najee Harris helped kill the drive ending in a 29-yard Boswell field goal, 7-6 with 8:20 to play
·     Jets lived on the check downs, after a couple of chunk plays between Rodgers and Hall, an explosive play as Rodgers hit Hall, 3 Steelers defenders collided and a couple of missed tackles later, Hall goes 57 yards to the Steelers 3-yard-line. Hall had 105 yards of total offense in the first 24:31 of the game
·     TD, Rodgers would make a great fake to hit TE Tyler Conklin wide open for a 1-yard touchdown
·     Minkah Fitzpatrick blocked the extra point but called for using a player as leverage to get over the line, Jets would go for 2 and Rodgers completed a pass to Garrett Wilson to make it 15-6.
·     Wilson would make a great adjustment on a bootleg to make a quick throw to Pat Freiermuth. He would run hard for 30 yards, but a holding penalty and a couple of incompletions stalled the drive.
·     Beanie Bishop interception on a pass intended for Garrett Wilson gave the Steelers the ball on their own 46
·     TD, a pass interference penalty on Sauce Gardner gave the Steelers 29 yards and on 2nd down from the 11, Wilson hit Pickens on an 11-yard fade for a first Steelers touchdown, 15-13 with 32 seconds left in the first half, 15-13

3rd quarter

·     3rd and 7 on the third Steelers play of the second half and Wilson underthrows Pickens but it bounces off the head of corner Isaiah Oliver and into Pickens hands for a 37-yard gain.
·     FG, 3rd and 5, same series, Wilson floats one out to Freiermuth for a 21-yard gain. Drive stalls at the Jets three-yard line, Boswell 21-yard field goal, 16-15 Steelers with 7:49 left in the third quarter
·     Rodgers makes a perfect throw on second down to Garrett Wilson for a chunk play on the left sideline but the ball bounces off his hands and right into Bishop’s hands for his second pick. He would nearly return it for a touchdown, tackled from behind on the Jets one-yard line.
·     TD, Russell Wilson 1-yard TD as he was pushed over the line by Connor Heyward, 23-15 Steelers with 7:15 left in third quarter.
·     Jets drove into the Steelers red zone including a 4th down completion by Rodgers to Mike Williams, but the Greg Zuerlein 35-yard field goal attempt was blocked by veteran defensive lineman Dean Lowry
·     3rd and 8, Wilson avoids the rush and checks down to Jaylen Warren, who makes a nice cut to gain 11 yards.

4th quarter

·     Harris bounces it to the outside, left side for 34 yards
·     TD, 3rd and goal from the 4-yard line, Wilson on play action finds Van Jefferson to make it, 30-15 Steelers with 12:09 to play
·     4th down for the Jets at the Steelers 25-yard line, defensive lineman Keeanu Benton knocks down a Rodgers pass to give the ball back to the Steelers with 7:56 to play
·     It was the Steelers on 4th down that clinched it, Russell Wilson sneaking for the couple of inches needed to nearly run out the clock
