We’re all trying to stretch a dollar these days, but when you have kids at home for the holidays looking for some form of entertainment (and they’re already bored with everything they got for Christmas) it’s hard to keep those pennies pinched.
Thankfully, one of the most lauded attractions to visit in the Lone Star State is right here in North Texas, and best of all, it’s free!
The Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth was just named Texas’ top free attraction in a new analysis from CashNetUSA, an online lender.
According to the Dallas Morning News, CashNetUSA looked at publicly available five-star Tripadvisor ratings for more than 6,000 free attractions across the country. The Kimbell ranked No. 1 in Texas, with an average rating of 4.77.
It’s free to visit Kimbell’s permanent art collection, though they do have special exhibits where tickets must be purchased.
The special exhibit currently at the museum is Myth and Marble: Ancient Roman Sculpture from the Torlonia Collection, though tickets for that will only set you back $14.
