One driver was killed and two others were seriously injured in an early-morning crash on I-30 in eastern Dallas County that led to an hour-long shutdown of the interstate.
Just after 5:00 a.m. Tuesday morning when the accident happened on the west-bound lanes of Interstate 30, just as traffic was leaving the lake Ray Hubbard bridge. Officials say that two semitrucks were involved in a wreck.
One truck burst into flames and police quickly closed all west-bound lanes and one lane on the east-bound side.

Lieutenant Richard Maldonado of Garland Police says the second semi had two people inside, but one died the other went to the hospital.Maldonado says the driver of the first truck was only slightly injured.
One of the trucks was hauling plastic pallets and burned for hours following the acccident as fire crews worked to keep it under control. The cause of the accident is under investigastion
