City Manager sees World Cup as an opportunity to shape Dallas for years to come

The Dallas City Manager is speaking out about the massive opportunity given to the city as the World Cup slowly comes to an end.




City Manager Kimberly Tolbert says this was something that will help shape Dallas for years to come.

"For decades, Dallas has been recognized as a center for business, innovation, and opportunity," Tolbert said. "This summer, the world has also experienced something equally important."

She says that includes the visitors seeing the City's parks as well as restaurants and other attractions.

On top of that she says those who came through Dallas also got to see the City's culture and creativity.

Tuesday's semifinal between France and Spain is the final match for the host city.

Dallas' FIFA Fan Festival at Fair Park will run through the final World Cup game on Sunday.

The International Broadcast Center will continue to operate for a number of days following the conclusion of the World Cup.
