The 20-year-old son of the Mayor of Little Elm is under arrest - accused of attacking two men at a restaurant in the Colony last night.
Police say Christian Cornelious stabbed the victims several times at the Seven Doors Restaurant before running off. Police caught up with him near a department store and took him into custody.
Police believe Cornelious may have been suffering from a mental health crisis. He was taken to a hospital to be evaluated before he was taken to jail. He now faces several charges.
His father is newly elected Little Elm Mayor Curtis Cornelious. Police say one of the victims was released from the hospital today, the other is in ICU in serious condition.
Police are asking that any witnesses with photos or videos please come forward.
