(SportsRadio 610) - Lovie Smith will be a serviceable, likeable head coach for the Houston Texans, whenever they finally name him to the position.
He will be able to do all of the things they wanted from David Culley, who they fired after just one season.
But Smith is not likely to be here long term, and it does not feel like the Texans have really started their rebuild.
In The Loop's John P. Lopez talked about how the Texans are lowering the bar in their most recent head coaching search, which apparently has arrived them to their in-house defensive coordinator who presumably all along they could have hired, even before Culley.
