With allegations of sexual misconduct by Watson not getting charged criminally, trade talks have ramped back up for the star signal-caller. All four of the aforementioned teams make varying levels of sense, and NFL insider Ian Rapoport shed some light on where things stand during an appearance Tuesday on the “Rich Eisen Show.”

“Deshaun Watson is meeting with the Cleveland Browns today, their brass is flying down to meet with him in person in Houston, Rapoport said. “The Atlanta Falcons meet with him tomorrow. Is it a longshot? Probably, but we’ll see, they’re going to take their shot. And then he met with the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers yesterday. And it seems to me that the Saints are in good position. We’ll see what his meetings with the Browns and Falcons are like, we’ll see if there’s a surprise team as well.

The Saints have an obvious hole at quarterback, and landing Watson could help them avoid a complete teardown and rebuild. It should be no surprise, then, that they're said to be pursuing him intensely. Presumably, the Seahawks and Colts would be crossing their fingers that Watson lands in Cleveland or Atlanta, as that would make Baker Mayfield or Matt Ryan available.

Between Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson and Tom Brady, recent days have been chaotic on the quarterback carousel.

Don’t expect anything to slow down now.
