The Washington Football Team is reportedly looking to move on from offensive tackle Morgan Moses.
Ian Rapoport first broke the news, saying that Washington is "likely moving on" from Moses and will allow him to "seek a trade. Ben Standig of The Athletic quickly confirmed that Washington will allow Moses to seek a trade.
This news comes somewhat out of left field, even as head coach Ron Rivera has spent all offseason re-tooling Washington's offensive line, acquiring guard Ereck Flowers in a trade with Miami, signing free agent tackle Charles Leno, Jr., and selecting Texas tackle Samuel Cosmi in the second round of the draft.
Moses has been one of the few constantly reliable players on Washington's line. Moses, a third-round pick in 2014, hasn't missed a single game since 2015, starting 96 straight games for Washington in that six-year span.
Michael Phillips of the Richmond Times-Dispatch speculates this could be a part of Rivera's ongoing house cleaning, ridding Washington of anyone from prior regimes.
