(AUDACY) After being traded from the Cubs to the Yankees on Thursday evening, first baseman Anthony Rizzo took his time to enjoy the iconic Wrigley Field, which has served as his work office for the past decade.
Rizzo, his family and his dog Kevin took a stroll around the park and a series of photos, soaking everything in as he leaves an organization that he helped lead out of a rebuild and to championship heights in 2016.
In addition, Rizzo's now-former teammates thanked him on social media, including catcher Willson Contreras and outfielder Jason Heyward.
