Allen: Offense eventually 'got into a rhythm' in dominant victory in Pittsburgh

Bills quarterback Josh Allen addressed the media following his team's 26-7 road victory over the Steelers

Pittsburgh, Pa. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills bounced back from their previous Thursday Night blunder in Houston with a huge 26-7 road victory against Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

While is wasn't pretty by any stretch of the imagination, the Bills offense, especially Josh Allen and James Cook, seemed to march down the field with ease in the second half, as they were stifled in the first half only recording 3 points.

Allen was efficient in the second half, recording a passing touchdown to Keon Coleman in the 3rd quarter, and an NFL record setting 76th career rushing touchdown in the 4th quarter to essentially put the game away.

Allen heavily credited running back James Cook for the Bills' offensive explosion in the second half, as well as crediting the defense with the scoop-and-score touchdown to start the 3rd quarter.

"I mean, he (Cook) is one of the, if not the best back in football, the way that he can just grab the ball and hit the hole as fast as he can, he's very rarely tackled by the first defender. So, he makes our offense go", Allen stated.

"I think we got into a rhythm there, that second half, obviously, the fumble touchdown to start the second half off, it gave us a huge jolt of energy."

Allen also emphasized the importance of winning this game as well as limiting crucial turnovers to continue their playoff push in the AFC playoff picture, while sitting at 8-4 on the season.

"It's super important. You know, sitting at eight and four, understanding where we're at in our division and conference for that matter, got to continue to find ways to win football games. And you know, we feel like the four losses that we've had, a big part of that has been turnovers and again, just making sure that we're better in that and understanding when we can protect the ball and move the ball and not hurt ourselves. You know, we can be a really, really good team."
