Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills officially broke ground on their new stadium on Monday that is set to open for the start of the 2026 NFL season.
Following Monday's ceremony, Bills Executive Vice President and COO, Ron Raccuia joined Sal Capaccio on WGR to discuss what the official groundbreaking of the new stadium means, and what Bills fans can expect in Orchard Park over the next few months.
Listen Live to WGR:
"If everything keeps going the way it has thus far, hopefully we’ll have steel in place and the structure starting to go up sometime toward the end of this upcoming season,” said Raccuia during his appearance on "Schopp and the Bulldog".
When it comes to parking and what could change for, at least, this year, Raccuia did say the RV Lot, as of now, will not be available.
"That should be the only impact for this season," Raccuia said. "We’re sorry about that. We know how important that is to our fans. We are going to keep trying to accommodate for that, but unfortunately, that is the one area that will be impacted this season."
Raccuia also detailed how the ticketing process for season ticket holders will transfer from the current facility to the new Highmark Stadium come 2026.
"Every season ticket holder that is a current season ticket holder at Highmark Stadium is already set and already ready to go," he said. "They will be contacted and will have an opportunity to buy tickets for the new stadium."
