Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - A day before the new NFL league year begins, the Buffalo Bills have agreed to a new three-year contract with tight end Dawson Knox.
ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler was first to report the new deal for the 29-year-old. The terms of the new contract were not disclosed.
Knox was selected by the Bills back in the 2019 NFL Draft as a third-round pick (96th overall), and has spent the entirety of his seven-year career in Buffalo.
Over the course of 102 games in his NFL career, Knox has started 83 games, reeling in 229 receptions for2,694 yards and 27 touchdowns. In 17 games with the Bills last season, Knox caught 36 passes for 417 yards and four scores.
Knox was under contract for one more season, but this new deal will keep him in Buffalo through the 2028 season and lower his salary counted against the cap.
The new league year begins at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
