Atlanta, Ga. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - For the second-straight week in prime-time, the Buffalo Bills come out on the losing end of the contest, falling 24-14 to the Falcons on "Monday Night Football" at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
The Falcons marched down the field on their opening drive of the game and scored the game's first touchdown, as running back Tyler Allgeier powered his way into the end zone with a 21-yard run..
The Bills responded on their first offensive drive with a touchdown of their own, as quarterback Josh Allen was able to connect with tight end Dawson Knox for a 19-yard strike.
After each team traded punts, the Falcons found the lead once again with a short nine-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Michael Penix Jr. to wide receiver Drake London.
With the Bills offense stalling, the Falcons took advantage with a long 81-yard touchdown run thanks to Bijan Robinson, extending their lead to 21-7.
As the Falcons' offense were firing on all cylinders in the first half, the Bills offense was unable to put up points in the second quarter.
The Falcons thought they were heading into the half up 28-7 as London managed to get past the Buffalo defense and streak toward the end zone. However, the Bills caught a breal with London stepping out of bounds just before extending the football past the goal line.
The Bills got off to a hot start to begin the second half, driving down the field and finishing it off with a 16-yard touchdown pass from Allen to running back Ray Davis to inch closer to the Falcons, 21-14.
It wasn't until near the end of the game when more points were scored, as the Falcons kicked a 33-yard field goal from kicker Parker Romo to extend their lead to 24-14.
As the Bills attempted to close the gap with time running out, a tipped ball resulted in the second interception of the game for Allen to seal the deal for the Falcons.
