Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills have added a dual purpose wide receiver in free agency with the signing of Mack Hollins to a one-year deal. ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler was first to report the signing on Wednesday, which was later confirmed a league source to WGR Bills beat reporter Sal Capaccio.
Hollins is a tall wide receiver, standing at 6-foot-4 with great speed and the ability to stretch plays down the field. But perhaps his biggest impact in the NFL has been on special teams as a gunner.
In his 95 career games with the Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders and Atlanta Falcons, Hollins has caught 131 passes for 1,691 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The 30-year-old was drafted in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of the University of North Carolina by the Eagles, where he won a Super Bowl as a rookie.
Hollins joins the wide receivers room in Buffalo after the Bills lost Gabe Davis to free agency when he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, as well as the release of Deonte Harty.
The Bills currently have seven other wide receivers on the roster for next season, including Stefon Diggs and Khalil Shakir.
