Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Buffalo Bills fans can breathe a sigh of relief.

LISTEN LIVE TO WGR:

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs was back on the field Wednesday for the team's second of a three-day mandatory minicamp, which was held inside the ADPRO Sports Training Center in Orchard Park.

Diggs showed up to the team’s facility on Monday for his physical, and then again Tuesday morning, but left before practice started. Head coach Sean McDermott clarified after practice on Wednesday he excused Diggs from taking part on Tuesday.

After Tuesday's practice, quarterback Josh Allen said there were some non-football related things Diggs and the team were working through, but did not elaborate on anything specific.

While Diggs was in attendance, he did not take any reps with the offense against the defense during the team portion of the session. He did take plenty of individual reps, running routes and catching passes from Allen.

McDermott says that was because the team is "ramping him up" after Diggs did not participate in any of the voluntary Organized Team Activities (OTAs) this offseason.

The wideout did not speak to reporters after practice.

With Diggs out, other receivers continued to get more reps. One that has stood out for the first couple of days of minicamp is Khalil Shakir. The second-year receiver has found ways to get open, and also made several tightly-contested catches.

Tight end Dawson Knox was also present, but did not participate at all. Knox injured his left leg during Tuesday’s session, and was walking with a long sleeve on it on Wednesday.

Defensive end Von Miller and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips continued to work with trainers on the side.
