1 dead, 3 teens arrested after triple stabbing near Fraser High School

FRASER (WWJ) -- Three teenagers are in police custody following a triple stabbing in Macomb County that left one person dead.

Fraser Police said the attacks happened at around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Garfield Rd. and Klein in Fraser.

Officers responded to calls about an assault near the high school to find three victims suffering from stab wounds. All three were taken to a hospital, where one of them died, police said.

Police said three teens have since been arrested in connection with the incident.

Where was no update as of Wednesday afternoon on the condition of the two surviving victims, including one who was initially reported to be in critical condition.

Fraser Public Schools was advised to lock down the nearby Fraser High School and Richards Middle School as a safety precaution while police were investigating on Tuesday. In a letter to parents, school officials did clarify that the incident occurred off school grounds and after school hours

While details are still unclear, visibly upset students heading to class Wednesday morning told WWJ Newsradio 950's Mike Campbell that those involved in the alleged stabbing were students.

The victims' ages have not been released, and there is no information about what led to the stabbings at this time.

Police said the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office will review the evidence to determine charges.
