MONROE (WWJ) -- After announcing three arrests at the beginning of the week, Michigan State Police now have a fourth person in custody in connection with the murder of Kayla Sedoskey, whose body was found at the abandoned Boysville Juvenile Detention Center last month.

The suspect was arrested in North Carolina following a standoff with U.S. marshals, per MSP. His name is being withheld until he can be extradited to Michigan and arraigned.

Authorities say this unnamed suspect has been charged with homicide and conspiracy to commit homicide. Both are listed as open murder charges, meaning that the degree of the murder charge will be decided by the judge or jury if the defendant is convicted.

Three other individuals -- Sierra Bemis, Brian Smith and Kaylyn Ramsey -- were previously arrested and arraigned on the same charges.

Sedoskey’s body was found by someone exploring the abandoned juvenile detention center in Frenchtown Township on Mar. 2. She was reportedly wrapped in a tarp and had duct tape over her mouth.

Although Sedoskey's death was officially ruled a homicide, MSP has not disclosed the manner of her murder. A possible motive in the case has not been released either.

The Monroe County Prosecutor's Office is still reviewing the incident for additional suspects or charges. Anyone with further information relating to the death of Kayla Sedoskey should contact Detective Sergeant Michael Peterson at the MSP Monroe Post at 734-242-3500.
