DETROIT (WWJ) – A Detroit woman is facing multiple charges, including first-degree murder in the shooting death of her boyfriend.

Antoinette Moore, 51, is accused of shooting 47-year-old Willie Grant, Jr., who she lived with at the time of the shooting.

Detroit police were called to the home in the 16020 block of Bringard Street – near 8 Mile and Kelly Roads on the city’s northeast side – around 8 p.m. last Friday for a reported shooting.

When officers showed up, they found Grant lying face-down in the front yard with a gunshot wound to his back.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities believe Moore and Grant got into an argument and she pulled out a shotgun and shot him in the yard. It was not clear what sparked the argument.

Authorities arrested Moore later the same day.

She was arraigned Monday in 36th District Court on one count of first-degree premeditated murder, one count of tampering with evidence and one count of felony firearm.

The prosecutor’s office did not say what Moore allegedly did to be charged with tampering.

Moore was given a $1 million cash/surety bond. Her next court appearance is scheduled for July 11.
