OXFORD, Mich. (WWJ) -- Authorities are investigating a shooting Tuesday afternoon at Oxford High School that left three people dead and injured eight others.
Here’s what we know so far about the suspect and the victims:
-- Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard told WWJ that the shooter emerged from a bathroom and began to open fire.
-- A 15-year-old sophomore at Oxford High School brought a semiautomatic handgun to school and fired around 15-20 shots, killing three students and injuring eight others, including one teacher.
-- Police identified the deceased victims as 14-year-old Hana St. Juliana, 16-year-old Tate Myre and 17-year-old Madisyn Baldwin.
-- Of the eight other victims, three were in critical condition as of late Tuesday night, including a 14-year-old girl, a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl.
-- Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard said it was "looking very tough" for the 14-year-old girl, who suffered gunshot wounds to the neck and chest. She was on a ventilator after having surgery.
-- A 14-year-old boy was in serious condition Tuesday night and three other students -- two boys, ages 15 and 17, and a 17-year-old girl -- were in stable condition.
-- A 47-year-old teacher was grazed by a bullet in her shoulder. The woman has since been treated and released from the hospital.
-- Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard says the suspect's father purchased the gun used in the shooting on Nov. 26. Authorities are still investigating whether the father gave the gun to his son, but the family is not cooperating.
-- Police received about 100 calls to 911 regarding the shooting, which began at about 12:51 p.m.
-- An Oakland County Sheriff’s deputy who was stationed at the school and another deputy who responded to the scene took the suspect into custody within about five minutes of the first calls.

-- Roughly 100 Oakland County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene, while around 200 personnel from other agencies, including fire departments, also responded.
-- Prayer vigils were held at several churches in Oxford and nearby Lake Orion on Tuesday night.
-- Police say the 15-year-old suspect was being lodged at the Oakland County Children’s Village juvenile detention center in Pontiac. His name is being withheld, as he is being held as a juvenile, though he could potentially be charged as an adult.
-- The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, did not fire on police and “offered no resistance” during the arrest.
-- The teen invoked his 5th Amendment right to not speak with investigators and his parents were not cooperating with police. His family hired an attorney and instructed him not to talk to police.
-- Authorities were executing a search warrant at the family's home in the village Oxford Tuesday evening. Reports say officials were seen carrying at least one gun out of the house, though Bouchard said he cannot comment on that part of the investigation.
-- Police are still investigating the shooting and plan to interview students, review surveillance video and search social media sites to learn more about what may have led to the shooting.
-- The FBI and ATF are assisting local authorities in the investigation.
-- Authorities say the shooting was not related to a recent incident involving a severed deer head and graffiti at the school in early November, as some had speculated. Police said that incident involved a different student.
-- Some rumors online have stated that some students stayed home from school today over fears of threats. Undersheriff Mike McCabe said he could not confirm those rumors and said the public should not necessarily believe what they read on social media, though he did not dismiss that possibility. He says everything will be investigated as they piece together the details of the shooting.
-- Flags across the state will be immediately lowered to half-staff until further notice, to honor and remember the victims.
-- Classes at Oxford High School have been canceled for the remainder of the week.
-- Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald released a statement Tuesday night, saying her office has already begun the process of receiving and reviewing information regarding the investigation. "It is our intent to review it thoroughly and issue appropriate charges quickly. The suspect will remain in custody pending those charges," McDonald said.
