The Tangipahoa Parish Coroner's Office says Callie Brunett, the Loranger woman found murdered in her home last week, died of "multiple sharp force injuries," NOLA.com reports.

Daniel Callihan, the suspect in the killing, is being held in a Mississippi jail after his arrest in Jackson.

Authorities say Callihan, 36, murdered Brunett, then kidnapped the 35-year-old's two daughters, 4-year-old Erin and 6-year-old Jalie.

Erin Brunett was found dead in Mississippi. Jalie was found injured, but alive.

Mississippi authorities have not yet disclosed a cause of death of Erin Brunett.

Callihan admitted to news crews that he committed the crimes, claiming he has been diagnosed with "borderline multiple personality disorder."
