NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man and a woman were killed Friday night and a second man was hospitalized after the vehicle they were in crashed into a subway support wall in the Bronx.
The Nissan Altima slammed into the concrete wall under the 6 train line in Hunts Point shortly before 7 p.m.
Citizen App video from the scene shows the vehicle smashed up against the wall near Whitlock Avenue and East 164th Street.
Police say a 23-year-old man driving the car and a 30-year-old woman in the front passenger seat were rushed to Lincoln Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead.
A 20-year-old man in the backseat was seriously injured. He was in stable condition at St. Barnabas Hospital on Saturday.
The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is investigating what caused the driver to lose control and hit the wall.
