NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A person was fatally struck by an L train at the First Avenue station in Manhattan East Village late Monday afternoon, followed by another person being struck by a 3 train at the Junius Street station in Brooklyn, the MTA said.
The L train incident prompted part of the L train's service to be temporarily halted, and there were delays on the 3 train.
"There is no L train service between Bedford Av and 8 Av because a person was fatally struck by a train at 1 Av," the MTA tweeted.
A subsequent tweet read, "There are service changes and delays in 3 train service because a person was struck by a train at Junius St."
