MIDDLESEX, N.J.(1010 WINS) -- Two women have died after a New Jersey Transit train struck a car in Middlesex around 8:15 a.m. on Friday , officials confirm.
The High Bridge bound train had left Penn Station in Newark about an hour before striking the vehicle at the Cedar Avenue crossing.
No injuries on the train, which was carrying a total of 30 people, are reported.
The identification of the occupants of the car who were killed have not been released yet.
Raritan Valley service is suspended in both directions between Plainfield and Raritan.
