22 food delivery employees robbed of e-bikes in Bronx, Manhattan, 2 men sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Surveillance footage was released on Wednesday of two men wanted in connection to 22 robberies that occurred in the Bronx and Manhattan where police say they use electric bikes to rob food delivery employees.

Officials say during each robbery, the suspects follow food delivery employees on electric bikes. The men then use either a knife or pepper spray to accost the victims beforeforcibly removing their bikes and fleeing.


Police say the video they released depicts an incident that occurred on Dec. 3. Police say a 24-year-old male delivery employee had finished making a delivery at 528 West 46th Street, just before 9 p.m., when one of the suspects on an electric bike asked him for directions to distract his attention.

The victim unlocked his bike, at which time a second suspect threw him to the ground, sprayed an unknown chemical substance and both men fled with his bike in unknown direction.

The victim was not seriously injured as a result of this incident.Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-8477.
