The New York Post reports that the woman was NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull Saturday when she was shoved by the patient around 2 p.m.
Police sources told the Post that the woman fell and hit her head; she died about three hours later.
The woman who pushed her allegedly told police "she got too close." Officials have urged New Yorkers to keep at a distance of at least 6 feet to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The hospital was so overwhelmed with patients amid the outbreak that workers weren't able to call police until 10:30 p.m., the sources said.
Police reportedly handed the alleged shover a summons for disorderly conduct.
