NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An underground ruptured gas line that created a massive sinkhole at a Bronx intersection Thursday afternoon was the result of a Con Ed crew feeding nitrogen gas through an abandoned gas line, a source told 1010 WINS.
The gas line ruptured around 3 p.m. in front of 25 East Clarke Place near Walton Avenue.
There were no injuries or evacuations -- just a massive hole.
