NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — New York state comptroller Tom DiNapoli has sent a letter to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

DiNapoli is demanding changes in the company’s corporate governance.

DiNapoli was writing in his capacity as trustee of the state’s retirement fund.

It currently holds more than a billion dollars in Facebook shares.

His issues include selection of an independent chairman who has no material interest in the company.

Zuckerberg has led the board since 2012.

DiNapoli is also concerned about Facebook’s mishandling of personal data and its slow response to fake news and hate speech.

So far, there’s been no response from Zuckerberg.
