NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New Yorkers are used to rats and other rodents in the subway -- but a baby shark?
That's what one straphanger says he saw Tuesday night at the Second Avenue station on the F line in the East Village.
Max Roder posted an Instagram story of the creature, writing, "PSA beware landsharks on F train at night."
The MTA was alerted and headed to the station, but by the time they got there, the shark was not there.
While it seems unlikely -- let alone downright strange -- that a shark would be in the New York City subway, it's actually happened before: In 2013, a dead sand shark was found on an N train.
