NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run Wednesday night in Queens, officials say.
Police say 67-year-old Ainsley Dalrymple of Hempstead was hit while attempting to cross at Rockaway Blvd. and 114th Street in the South Ozone Park section.
The driver fled the scene after the incident and is currently being sought by authorities.
The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where police say he later died.
The incident comes just two days after city hall announced their new Vision Zero crackdown.
